Founded in 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. We build FORGE OS, the agent-legible operating system for enterprise AI, robotics, and physics-informed systems designed for real operational environments.
Founded in 2023 in Columbus, Ohio, 577 Industries was built on non-dilutive research funding through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These federally funded R&D contracts, solicited by the Department of Defense and other agencies, challenged us to solve real problems in AI, autonomy, and advanced computing for the warfighter and the enterprise alike.
That mission-driven foundation produced four distinct capabilities: post-training infrastructure, operational memory, robotics AI, and quantum-classical computing. In 2025, we unified them into FORGE OS: one agent-legible operating system for enterprise AI deployment.
Trusted by defense, research & industry leaders
Billions flow into AI research every year. Thousands of prototypes show promise in the lab. But the journey from working demo to fielded system is where the vast majority of programs quietly die, stranded in the gap between "it works on our data" and "it runs on your hardware, in your environment, under real constraints."
577 Industries bridges the valley of death by starting from the deployment target and working backward. We integrate AI into the platforms you already operate: drones, radar, edge devices, ground vehicles. Using commercial off-the-shelf models adapted for your mission, your constraints, and your hardware.
The result: fielded capability in months, not years. No fleet replacement. No stranded investment. Just new intelligence on proven systems.
We don't publish papers about AI that could work. We field systems that do. On the platforms you already trust, in the environments where it matters.
Start from proven open-source and commercial models. Skip the research phase entirely.
Fine-tune, align, and distill for your specific domain, data, and operational environment.
Encode physical laws and domain knowledge so the AI can’t hallucinate outside reality.
Test in representative environments against mission-specific criteria before handoff.
We believe fielded AI should be accessible to every organization that needs it: defense, enterprise, and critical infrastructure, regardless of team size or budget. Our mission is to close the gap between what AI can do and where it actually runs.
We do not spend a year building a prototype that never ships. Every engagement is structured around rapid deployment milestones measured in weeks, not years. Iteration happens in production environments, not just slide decks.
Proof: FORGE OS deploys mission-tuned systems quickly. Our IRIS prototype reached Army field test in 14 weeks.
AI that hallucinates in a lab is a curiosity. AI that hallucinates on a battlefield is a liability. We encode physical laws, conservation equations, and domain constraints directly into the loss function so the model literally cannot produce impossible outputs.
Proof: Our radar classifiers encode Maxwell's equations as hard constraints. The model can't generate physics-violating detections.
We don't maintain separate defense and commercial codebases. RAG retrieval built for DoD intelligence workflows becomes email intelligence for enterprises. Edge optimization for tactical drones improves warehouse robotics. Each side of the business accelerates the other.
Proof: Thread-aware retrieval built for intelligence workflows became FORGE Memory for commercial SMBs, reducing deployment time by 60%.
Controlled benchmarks tell you what a model can do. Operational validation tells you what it will do. Every system we deliver is tested against live environments, real interference, and actual mission conditions before handoff.
Proof: Every ARC Nano deployment is validated against live RF environments with contested electromagnetic spectrum.
COTS-first architecture skips the research phase entirely. We start from proven systems and adapt them to your mission, delivering fielded capability faster than typical custom-build programs.
No prototype handoffs, no integration gaps, no vendor finger-pointing. From lab demo to fielded system, one team owns the entire journey. That eliminates the coordination failures that kill most programs in the valley of death.
FORGE OS is one agent-legible operating system with one Intelligence Engine orchestrating four subsystems for post-training, knowledge retrieval, quantum computing, robotics AI, and code modernization.
Our IP is built on federally funded R&D through SBIR/STTR programs from DoD, DARPA, and AFRL. That means battle-tested technology validated against real military requirements, not a VC pitch.
